Maya Collection, exoticism for the tastebuds

The gastronomic restaurants in the Maya Collection need no introduction in the Principality of Monaco. What do they share in common? Sublime renderings of world cuisine.

Escapism, a chance to explore new horizons. A promise kept by the Maya Bay, Maya Jah and Maya Mia. From Thai to Japanese cuisine, Mediterranean and oriental gastronomy, a thousand-and-one delicacies from afar are to be discovered on the menus of these restaurants in the Maya Collection.

Maya Bay

Head for distant lands in Asia at the Maya Bay with its wonderfully authentic decor. Flowering cherry trees and carmine red lanterns recalling Japan, tropical plants and fabric ceiling lights recalling Thailand, in a newly decorated dining-room. The voyage continues in the dishes with Christophe Dupuy, the Maya Collection's Executive Chef, at the helm. He is accompanied by Japanese chef Chiharu Igarashi and a kitchen brigade all from Thailand. Together, they sign their names to a creative menu as witnessed by the signature dishes: stir-fried lobster with Prick Prao sauce, black pollock marinated in miso with passionfruit, duck grilled on a roasting spit with hoisin sauce. Among their new offerings, don't miss Dim sum with sea urchins, lobster-mango Nems, and Chilean seabass with spicy miso. In addition to desserts on the menu, those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to discover the brand new corner in the MAYAMOKI room, dedicated to irresistible Japanese pastries called "mochis". Finally, from Tuesday to Friday, the Maya Bay proposes its "Lunchtime Bento", as well as its entire menu, for delivery or take-away.

Maya Jah

Not far from the Maya Bay, Morocco and India co-exist in real harmony at the Maya Jah, though there is more, as a prominent role is played by fresh produce and Mediterranean recipes. The decor in the dining-room gives precedence to oriental craftsmanship, while the sheltered terrace basks in natural vegetation and subdued light to offer a setting where time stands still. In the kitchen, Chef Mustapha El Hajraoui proposes Mediterranean cuisine with oriental fragrances (Black Tiger shrimps with tandoori, grilled Koftas of Wagyu beef, Couscous with "Mourouzia" lamb). The Maya Jah also awards a place of honour to the bounty of the sea with a fish counter in the dining-room laden with shrimps, crayfish, sea bass, sea bream, turbot, John Dory etc. An invitation to select the piece you will relish at table, and the way it is cooked, oven-baked or grilled. For lunch, the Maya Jah proposes a starter, main course and dessert formula, different each day. To bewitch the palates of unrepentant gourmets.

Maya Mia

Then, over towards neighbouring Italy, this gustatory world tour ends at the Maya Mia. Designed like a typical trattoria, this enticing, casual restaurant benefiting from a magnificent terrace focuses on trans-Alpine flavours, from the Amalfi coast to the sunny Tuscan countryside. Raw hams hanging from the ceiling, round blocks of Parmesan cheese, and an authentic Vespa comprise the decor of this very colourful address. On the menu: classics of Italian cuisine with a wide selection of antipasti, pasta and pizzas made from top-quality ingredients, fresh and seasonal. Not forgetting unmissable dolci such as tiramisù della casa or castagnole della mia famiglia. For more intimacy, a private salon is now available within the restaurant for professional dining or family celebrations. An address that has become an absolute must at the heart of the Principality, just a short walk from the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
