Sustainability entrepreneur and consecrated World Champion of F1 in 2016, the former German racing driver Nico Rosberg knows Monaco inside out after growing up and living there today.

What makes for the charm of Monaco?

All the people from different parts of the world. Since Monaco is so international, it was very interesting for me to learn about different cultures, beliefs, and languages of course. Growing up in Monaco means you become a global citizen at heart. 

Where do you feel most comfortable?

Definitely at home with my family. Whenever I am arriving from a business trip, whether I have been away for only a couple of days or an entire week, the best feeling is to come home and spend quality time with my wife and two lovely girls.

What do you miss when you leave the Principality?

The sea. Monaco is such a unique and fantastic place - and right next to the Mediterranean. I love spending time on the boat with my family. Each and every time when coming back to Monaco, I notice that it's such a peaceful place and I am very grateful to call it our home.

For someone wanting to discover Monaco, what "absolute musts" would you recommend?

Watch the GP!! It is incredible how such a racetrack is actually right where we walk on a daily basis. I used to go to school just above where the paddock used to be. You can drive over the finish line, see how small the streets are. On the other hand, I would recommend wandering around - you can explore many beautiful gardens, Monaco is also a very green place to visit.

What are your favorite places in Monaco?

I have great memories of attending various events at the Sporting of course. Regarding food, we love lunch or dinner at Maya Bay - The dishes are extremely fresh, neatly presented, and delicious. Going there is like going on a journey to Asia, an exceptional experience!
