Then take time out to stroll around the narrow cobbled streets of the Old Town. Fans of literature will discover in the Princess Grace Irish Library a surprising collection of works by Irish authors acquired by the Princess throughout her life. 

Then, down below the Rock, a short walk from Port Hercule, make sure to visit the market of La Condamine attended every day by Princess Grace. Created in 1880, it is home to a score of stall-holders proposing local and seasonal produce of quality in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The ideal opportunity to treat your tastebuds to Monaco's specialities.

Finally, head for Monte-Carlo and the Place du Casino, world-renowned for being featured in many films such as GoldenEye (1995) and Ocean’s Twelve (2004). You will undoubtedly appreciate the "Belle Epoque" architecture of the buildings that surround the square, such as the Opera-House designed by Charles Garnier, where Princess Grace was a regular spectator. A short walk away, you will also discover the Princess Grace Theater, a magnificent movie-hall designed by the Princess who, let's not forget, had won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1955 for her role in The Country Girl, directed by George Seaton.

In the landscaped park of Fontvieille, the Princess Grace Rose Garden is well worth the detour, with over 300 varieties of roses. It was created in 1984 at the request of Prince Rainier III in memory of his wife, who had passed away two years earlier following a tragic car accident.
