Savoyard dining

A stay at Le Refuge de la Traye is also embodied in its dishes with exceptional culinary experiences designed for gourmets.

Benefit from a stay at Le Refuge de la Traye to discover Savoy’s specialties. And where better than La Table de la Traye? With its majestic fireplace and mountain views, it proposes generous cuisine that warms the body and heart.

Wine & cheese tastings

Cheese reigns supreme in Savoy, in extraordinary diversity. Abondance, Beaufort, Chevrotin, Reblochon, Tome des Bauges… all bearing the labels AOP (‘‘Appellation d’Origine Protégée’’) or IGP (‘‘Indication Géographique Contrôlée’’). Then comes wine. Savoy’s vineyards of over 4,940 acres produce a wide array of grape varieties and benefit from three AOPs.

An entire world to be discovered in intimate tastings attended by regional producers such as Jean-Claude Masson and Fabien Trosset. On the menu, per person: a plate with 5 cheeses, 3 half-glasses of wine, and the possibility of adding a plate of 5 cold meats, local, of course. For a more immersive experience, privatize La Ferme à Fromage for an evening to share a delicious raclette or fondue with friends. Its warm, authentic atmosphere, accompanied by a traditional accordionist, will make your meal highly memorable.
