In 2006, JV Pastor made its first foray into the world of high-end restaurants by launching the MayaBay in Monaco, now one of the Riviera’s most prestigious addresses.
In 2022, MayaBay opened in Dubai in the UAE, announcing the Maya Collection. Thanks to its success, MayaBay is set to conquer the world, arriving this summer in one of today’s most prized destinations: the luxury marina of Tivat in Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor.
In spring 2024, it will open in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Doha in Qatar, then in Greece on the island of Mykonos. In winter 2024-2025, the first Maya Hotel will be inaugurated in Courchevel, naturally hosting a MayaBay restaurant. “We are already working on 2025 with a launch in the USA, though nothing has yet been signed. Same again for 2026, with Asia”, says Richard Maria, General Manager of the Maya Collection.
In July 2023, a MayaBay restaurant opened on the sublime Boka bay of Kotor, part of UNESCO’s World Heritage. In the luxury marina of Tivat, MayaBay Porto Montenegro – a neighbour of the illustrious Regent Hotel - features a superb shaded terrace. On the quayside, with a view of the world’s loveliest yachts, it seats 105 guests. Inside, the dining-room welcomes up to 70 guests. To celebrate its launch, MayaBay Porto Montenegro held an exclusive evening in partnership with the Prince Albert II Foundation for protection of the oceans, a top-notch gastronomic experience on the occasion of the Rubix Festival. Its awesome list of signature cocktails based on natural ingredients includes Amarino Montenegro with Amaro Montenegro, Zacapa 23 rum, Laphroaig Single Malt whisky, blackberries and mint.
After enchanting Dubai, MayaBay will open in March 2024 in the Saudi Arabian capital to tempt the tastebuds of Saudis and travellers from around the world. Open to foreign tourists for several years, the kingdom aims to welcome 100 million visitors by 2030. A prime location for the Maya Collection’s international profile. On the iconic Boulevard Prince Turki Ibn Abdulaziz Al Awwal, MayaBay Riyadh will seat up to 150 guests thanks, among other things, to a vast terrace of 180 sq.m. Architecture signed Sylvestre Murigneux, elegant interior decor, delicate fusion cuisine with exceptional ingredients and top-quality service, everything ensuring the worldwide success of MayaBay restaurants is on the menu.
In December 2024, the Maya Collection will make news by unveiling its very first Maya Hotel in the legendary resort of Courchevel 1850. At the foot of the slopes, this outstanding boutique hotel will offer 8 prestige Suites (one of over 120 sq.m with a Japanese spa and massage room) and 5 luxurious Rooms with each detail designed to create a soothing, intimate ambiance. A MayaBay restaurant will also open on the ground floor for a top-quality dining experience in the most highly prized resort in Les 3 Vallées. Maya Hotel promises to raise the art of hospitality to new peaks, to delight global fans of luxury and refinement.
The summer season 2025 promises to be exceptional with the inauguration of a MayaBay address in Mykonos in the Cyclades archipelago in the Aegean Sea. In the south-eastern part of the island, not far from the famous Kalafati beach, in the future One & Only luxury resort, MayaBay Mykonos will welcome up to 250 guests in decor steeped in local culture. It will also propose a new experience of refined poolside dining while basking in the Mediterranean sun. Maya Collection thus keeps its promise to take its place in the world’s finest addresses, with a special experience of Asian cuisine on one of Greece’s most iconic islands and, above all, one of the world’s top tourist destinations.
